Women’s football in Norway is entering a decisive phase of growth. The Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) has set bold targets for 2030: increasing the number of girls and women in football to 150 000, quadrupling attendance at women’s matches and continuing to raise professional standards across the game. These ambitions highlight a positive development — more players, more supporters and a stronger national focus on the women’s side of the sport.
You can read the full long term strategy from NFF here.

One of the clubs driving this forward is Sandefjord Fotball Kvinner, an independent women’s football club working to establish itself as the leading environment for female players in Vestfold. With a clear long-term goal of reaching the Toppserien — and 1st division as the first major milestone — the club combines strong sporting ambition with a commitment to developing players over time and building a more professional club structure around them.
To support this work, Expert Analytics contributes one pro bono workday each month through business developer Niklas Bøe — providing extra capacity, analytical perspectives and creative energy at a stage where even small inputs can have meaningful impact.
About Sandefjord Fotball Kvinner

SF Kvinner is a forward-looking club with a clear vision:
Equal dreams, equal opportunities💙
The club aims to provide a complete pathway for girls and women in Vestfold — from youth development to senior football — and to establish itself as a top women’s club in Norway.
While attracting ambitious and high-potential players is part of the strategy, developing their own talents is equally important. Many young players are already progressing well within the club, supported by a development culture that helps them take steady steps forward. SF Kvinner’s ambition is to build a sustainable environment where players can grow, stay and contribute to a long-term sporting identity.
This combination of ambition and continuity makes the club a strong partner for long-term, development-oriented collaboration.
Why this collaboration matters for the club
Building a football club is complex. It involves players, people, leadership, culture, volunteers and infrastructure, all working in balance with day-to-day tasks and long-term goals. For a young and ambitious club like SF Kvinner, this stage is both exciting and demanding.
Expert Analytics contributes by offering an external perspective and a bit of extra capasity: a business developer with analytical skills who brings fresh ideas, enthusiasm and a passion to build.
This support helps the club explore new concepts, test initiatives and strengthen ongoing club development — without stretching limited resources.
Why this is also valuable for us
Pro bono work at Expert Analytics is designed to support meaningful initiatives while creating room for personal development. For Niklas, this collaboration brings both.
As a business developer — and as a youth coach for the next years U10/U11 girls at Sandar IL — he sees how much a strong local football culture can influence young players.
“This project gives me a chance to learn from a club that knows exactly where it wants to go — establishing itself as a top women’s football club — and is working steadily to get there. Being part of that process, even in a small way, lets me apply my background in a setting I care about while gaining new perspectives and experience.” - Niklas Bøe, Expert Analytics
From SF Kvinner’s perspective, the collaboration adds an external viewpoint to the club’s ongoing work.
“This collaboration brings in fresh ideas, enthusiasm and genuine passion for what we are building. It strengthens our work and supports our vision: equal dreams, equal opportunities.” - Lasse Saga, Head of Sports, SF Kvinner
A small contribution to a bigger movement
Women’s football is growing — in visibility, professionalism and momentum — both globally and in Norway. SF Kvinner’s ambition to establish a top women’s club in Vestfold is inspiring, and it aligns well with NFF’s national strategy for the women’s game toward 2030.

By combining local ambition with a broader national direction, SF Kvinner is positioning itself for long-term success. Seeing what SF Kvinner achieves with limited resources is impressive. Their clarity and commitment make the journey inspiring to follow, and we’re glad to support them as they continue developing the club.
